Having a hard time finding the right bit for you and your horse? Heartland Saddlery can help, with expert advice and a trial period on all bits rented, we are positive we can help you find the correct size and type of bit for you and your horse.

With bits from the Neue Schule, Shires and Happy Mouth, we have a wide range of bits for dressage, show jumping, eventing, pony clubbers and more to suit all levels of horse and rider.

Take the guess work out of buying a new bit, try it at home, with your trainer or at a competition, if it's not suitable return the bit or exchange it!

Our expert bit fitter will work with you, your horse and your trainer.

Rental Prices and Details:

A maximum of 3 bits can be taken on trial up to a maximum of 30 days. If bits are not returned after this time period your credit card will be charged the full retail cost of the bit(s) plus GST.

We will pre-authorise your credit card after choosing your selected bit(s). If you decide to keep the bit(s) your credit card will be charged the full cost of your purchase plus GST.

Once you receive the bits, please as an extra precaution clean them with warm water before use.

Return policy:

All rental bits must be returned in reasonable condition, fair wear and tear is acceptable, but chewed, broken or damaged bits will not be refunded.

Bit Bank Rental Charges:

$20 per bit - 7 days for Neue Schule bits.

$15 per bit - 7 days for regular bits. 

*There is no rental charge on bits that are purchased* 

Returning bits:

Please thoroughly clean all bits with warm water before returning. All bits returned will be disinfected by us before putting them back in our bit bank. 

Heartland Saddlery cannot be held responsible for any diseases, infections, viruses, mouth sores or ulcers or any other medical condition that appears after having our bits on trial.

Please clean the bit(s) with warm only. We will thoroughly clean and disinfected all bits returned to us to kill any germs and bacteria.
