Nobody buys a pair of shoes without trying them on first. Yet, surprisingly this is exactly how most people buy a saddle.
Like a badly sized shoe, an improperly fit saddle will cause your horse discomfort and pain and will become distracted and unable to focus on your commands. He/she may even start bucking or rearing to ease their irritation.
It's no surprise that a comfortable horse makes a better riding experience, a properly fitted saddle from Heartland Saddlery is the most effective way of improving your horse's comfort and performance.
Heartland Saddlery has extensive riding and equestrian knowledge for all disciplines and can match the saddle to you and your horse and the involved discipline, whether it is eventing, show jumping, dressage or polo from beginner riders to the highest level of competition.
As we are a privately owned company, our saddle sales are not based on commission. We will choose a saddle that fits your horse and you, whether it's used or new. Your horse's well being is our absolute priority and we make every effort to ensure you are happy with your purchase and your horse is comfortable.
Becky is a certified Society of Master Saddlers Saddle FitterUK and is one of four registered in Canada. She has experienced dealing with difficult horse shapes, remedial saddle balancing and adjustments. No horse or riders are the same so every saddle fitting is an individual process that takes time to bring the right combination together.
All riders from novice to advanced, from all disciplines, fits and budgets can be catered for. A custom templating service is offered at no extra cost to ensure the best possible fit for you and your horse.
Your current saddle(s) will be checked and will be re-fitted wherever possible. If the saddle cannot be adjusted sufficiently to make it fit then Becky will explain what the issues are and offer you alternatives to consider.
